Candlemas - Mass & Procession, According to the Use of Sarum

The third in our series of liturgical reconstructions, our first in London, and the first of a number we’ll be collaborating with Great St Bart’s on – Candlemas Mass and Procession according to England’s premier Medieval liturgy, the Use of Sarum.

The Musical Programme will include:

Plainsong propers and procession antiphons of Candlemas
Kyrie Deus Creator Omnium
Gloria “Spiritus et Alme” – Anon.
Credo – Anon.
Sanctus & Benedictus – Oliver (fl. late 14th century?)
Agnus Dei – Anon.
Stella Cæli – John Cooke (fl. late 14th century?)

The service starts at 7pm and entry is free because it is a service, and the bar will be open afterwards, where the congregation will be invited to share the parish loaf.
